Building
online forms in version 1.5*
If you don't have an online form in your website
and wish to build one, WebContact Wizard helps
to build forms without having to know HTML or
programming. You can build your forms either using
our inbuilt templates or use your websites templates.
A Form-Building Wizard provides a step-by-step
help to build your form.
| Build
using WebContact Wizard templates |
| The
form builder includes a simple layout for
selecting a template, placing a logo, applying
a background and text colour, generating a
server-related script, publishing it over
the Internet. |
 |
| Start
building the form by selecting a WebContact
Wizard template. The next step is to select
the query you want to use and choose a name
for the form. Include your company logo, a
background colour, text colour and title for
the form. |
 |
| You
can preview forms at any time during the building
process, and make changes by going back a
few steps. Until you save the form, you would
be able to experiment with as many options
as you need. The next step is to create the
questions (e.g., First Name, Surname etc.)
and value fields (text box, check-box, radio
buttons etc.) for your web form using the
form-building wizard. |
 |
| Save
the form, and generate a relevant server-related
script using the 'Generate Script' button.
WebContact Wizard has included a range of
scripts for both NT and UNIX web server platforms
so that you can publish forms without special
web development skills. However, remember
to specify the relative path of the script
file in your server to enable the web form
to access it. |
 |
|
Finished
forms, scripts, and any images you have
used can be published on the Internet using
WebContact Wizard's fully featured FTP wizard.
|

| Build
using your own webpage templates |
| If
you already have a professionally designed
website and would like your web form to be
based on its template, you can use your website's
template to build a form using WebContact
Wizard. Your webmaster should be able to provide
a template. You can use a single template
to create as many forms as needed. |
 |
| All
you need to do is open the template and specify
where you would like the form to start. The
application would take you through a step-by-step
wizard to build a form and publish it. You
can preview your form at any stage of the
form building process, and you can go back
and make changes at any time. |
 |
| Using
this wizard, you can build as many forms as
you wish, and amend WebContact Wizard forms
previously built and saved. You will not be
able to open forms built by other means. If
you have a form that was originally built
by a design company, you need to contact them
for any changes. |
